The 7th/8th Grade Young Men’s Bible Class is studying the Book of Proverbs, the book of knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is good, but there is a vast difference between (knowledge) “having the facts” and (wisdom) “applying those facts to life”. Knowledge without wisdom is useless. The Book of Proverbs contains concise statements of moral truths. The main theme of Proverbs is the nature of true wisdom. Solomon writes, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline”. This book covers a wide range of topics, including youth and discipline, family life, self control, resisting temptation, business matters, words of the tongue, knowing God, marriage, seeking the truth, wealth, proverty, immorality, and even what to look for in a Godly wife. All 7th & 8th Grade young men are invited to join us at 9:15 a.m. in the Confirmation Room, Education Building, every Sunday morning. Frank Lassen is the teacher.
